Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson has been given the all-clear by doctors from the concussion protocol and is expected to start for the Colts against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Colts head coach Shane Steichen made the announcement on Friday.

Richardson, the fourth overall choice in the April draft, missed the Week 3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens due to injury. He did, though, return to Colts practice on Thursday and will resume starting in Week 4, replacing Gardner Minshew.

Richardson displayed his talent by scoring two rushing touchdowns in the Week 2 victory over the Houston Texans before leaving the game with a concussion. He therefore skipped Week 3 as a result.

Anthony Dashawn Richardson is an American football quarterback currently playing for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League (NFL). He developed his football abilities at Florida, and the Colts selected him with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Richardson has a formidable combination of a strong arm and great athleticism. He is a powerful 6 feet 4 inches tall and 244 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.43 seconds, which is the fourth-fastest time by a quarterback in league history.

He displayed his undeveloped yet promising talent while attending Florida. In 13 of the games he started over the course of two seasons, he completed 55% of his throws for 2,227 yards in total, 17 touchdown passes, and 9 interceptions. He notably demonstrated his rushing skills, gaining 1,221 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Richardson has the potential to become an exceptional quarterback in the NFL even though he is still in the growth stage. He boasts all the skills required to succeed in his profession, including a powerful arm, great athleticism, and a firm understanding of the game.
