Blake Shelton’s ‘Voice’ Contestants Say They ‘Absolutely’ Want to Win His Penultimate Season for Him

Group Blake Shelton is ensuring their dearest mentor has a vital penultimate season on The Voice.

Since the country hotshot will be making a stride back from training the NBC singing rivalry series after next season, his contenders Bryce Leatherwood, Rowan Elegance, Brayden Lape and Bodie say they “totally” need to give their best for bring back home a record 10th coming out on top for championship for him.

“Doing right by Blake and attempting to battle our direction to the finale is, I think, every last one of our own objectives,” Leatherwood told Individuals after Monday night’s live show.

Added Bodie: “He’s a big part of history of the show, so it’s sort of cool to be with him on out and win it for him.” Shelton, 46, declared his takeoff from the show last month, writing in an Instagram post, “I’ve been grappling with this for some time and I’ve concluded that it’s the ideal opportunity for me to pull back from The Voice after season 23.”

“This show has completely changed myself all around to improve things and it will continuously feel like home to me,” he proceeded.

“It’s been quite a ride over these 12 years of seat turns and I need to thank everybody at ‘The Voice’ from NBC, each maker, the journalists, performers, group and catering individuals, you are awesome. It takes a great deal of work, energy, and grown-up drinks (Ha!) to pull off a live show two times per week.”

Shelton started training The Voice during its most memorable season in 2011 and has stayed a staple of the show since.

In the background, his contenders said he’s precisely the way in which he shows up on camera. “What you see is what you get with Blake,” said Leatherwood. “You can’t beat him. I won’t lie.”

Since Effortlessness is new to Shelton’s group (she was taken by him from Stefani’s group during the Knockout Rounds), she said she was stunned to perceive how “chill” and “typical” he was.
