According to Fruitland Police Chief J.D. Huff, the case has been reduced, but there are still a lot of ambiguous details. People prefer to work with absolutes. said Huff. However, there are no absolutes in this case.
He claimed that by executing 27 search warrants as well as three times as many warrants obtained with consent, police have amassed an enormous amount of information. The most recent reliable tip they have so far has led them back to the Fruitland neighbourhood where Michael vanished.

Michael Joseph Vaughan, who vanished on July 27, 2021, from his Fruitland neighbourhood, is still sought by the police.
The Fruitland Police Department and other joint law enforcement agencies held a press conference on Friday where they reaffirmed that the investigation into Michael’s disappearance is criminal, that there is a chance of an abduction, and that they are still looking into some 1,000 leads and tips they have received.
