The suspect, who stays unidentified to people in general, is presently in authority. Two casualties experienced gunfire wounds to the leg and a third experienced a “fracture injury to his finger,” authorities report.

During a Wednesday public interview, Metropolitan Police Division Leader Right hand Boss Ashan Benedict called the activities of perished Metro worker Robert Cunningham, alongside different travelers, “gallant,” adding how “the way that our residents needed to intercede with outfitted shooters is upsetting to me.”

“Soon after 9 a.m., there was a squabble on a Metro transport at fourteenth Potomac Road [Metro Station],” Benedict expressed. “There was an individual shaking a weapon, drawing in travelers on this transport.” Police verified that the individual followed one of those people off the transport and “shot at this individual, striking him in the legs.”
