Mumby-Croft attended the University of Lincoln and earned a degree in Politics and Social Policy. After graduation, she worked as a manager at a retail company and as a marketing executive.
In 2015, Mumby-Croft decided to run for a position on the North Lincolnshire Council. She won the election and served as a councilor for the Brumby ward until 2019.
