On June 22, 2022, during a robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey. Lil Tjay was shot numerous times he was with his friend, the 22-year-old Antione Boyd who was also shot once in the back according to Bergen County Prosecutor.
Tjay was sent to the hospital for emergency surgery, he is said to have made it out of surgery.
