However, it is usually accepted that University College Nottingham, which was founded in 1881 as a college preparing students for exams given by the University of London, served as the university’s founding institution.

Is the University of Nottingham prestigious?

The institution won the titles of Times Higher Education “University of the Year” in 2006, “Entrepreneurial University of the Year” in 2008, and “University of the Year” runner-up in 2010 for the Sunday Times.
