Ahmedabad, Sep 16 (IANS) An Ahmedabad court on Friday indicted Congress pioneer Jignesh Mevani and 19 others blameworthy in a 2016 defacement case and condemned them to a half year detainment.

The Metropolitan Judge granted three distinct sentences under the three unique areas of IPC – a half year prison under one, Rs 500 fine under another, and Rs 100 fine in the third.

It has remained the usable piece of the request, so Mevani and others can pursue the request under the steady gaze of the meetings court.

In 2016, Mevani and others were driving fights requesting to name Gujarat College’s Regulation Office as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan. The dissent turned vicious and the premises were vandalized. All protestors were captured and delivered under the watchful eye of the court.
