Lena Stone Is Married! All the Details from the Singer’s Nashville Wedding to Michael Beckham

On Saturday, the singer-songwriter — who released her self-named debut album in April — and Michael Beckham secured the bunch at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, a special place for the couple.

“Music is a particularly central part of my life and of our picked home of Nashville, and we’ve been going to the symphony together since the beginning of our relationship,” Stone told Individuals ahead of the ceremony. “It’s a really meaningful place for us to get married.”

All through their whole wedding day, Stone, 29, and Beckham, 38, a film maker with Stormlight Pictures, said they wanted to “feature all of the amazing things that Nashville has to offer.”

Thus, they worked with generally local sellers, including Eric Adler Clothing for the man of the hour’s custom tux, Bruce Pittman Occasions for the wedding planning and Lauren Marie Atkinson Plans for the blossoms.

Preceding the ceremony, the couple did a first look, where they said they planned to exchange “personal promises” privately.

“I can’t wait for our most memorable look when he will see me in my dress for the initial time,” said Stone, who accessorized her dress with her late grandmother’s earrings as her “something old.”
During the ceremony, one of the couple’s “dearest companions” Phil Barnes — who is also Stone’s maker — married them.

“He is profoundly smart and articulate,” Stone said. “We realized he would work effectively and make our ceremony so personal to us.” After the ceremony came the reception, where visitors indulged in a sans gluten red velvet wedding cake with Swiss meringue buttercream from local bakery Foamy Monkey as Stone and Beckham did their most memorable dance as a married couple.

“We took a couple of dance lessons together to prepare, and that was one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding planning process,” Stone said. As she prepared for the wedding, Stone also recorded a “special new version” of her song “Love of My Life (Wedding Version)” that she included on the exclusive version of her presentation album that dropped in August.

Stone and Beckham’s romantic tale began almost nine years ago, when they met through mutual companions at an essayists’ round at the bar third and Lindsley. After a year of being companions “with secret crushes on each other,” they chose to make things official.

As to how Stone realized Beckham was the one, she said it was “the point at which he started spending time with my family and I saw how well he fit in with everyone and the amount they cherished him as well.” Beckham, meanwhile, realized Stone was the one before they even started dating because of “all the time we spent getting to know each other” as companions first.

“We would go out to catch up over drinks, and I recollect how time appeared to not exist when we were together,” he said. “She made me so happy then, and she actually makes me so happy at this point.”
After Beckham asked about tying the knot with an engagement ring from Consider the Wldflwrs in the late spring of 2021, the two wanted to wait to get married until they both finished school.

Stone attributes their strong relationship to “great communication.”

“We make a real effort to check in with each other,” she said.

“And we love date night, regardless of whether it’s simply a casual drink at a bar down the road and a chance for us to catch up and connect.”

As she shifts focus over to her future with Beckham, Stone said she’s invigorated for all of the “milestones that come straightaway.”

“I can’t wait for all the big minutes — buying a house and getting a canine and becoming parents someday — yet in addition the little everyday minutes in between,” she said.
