Washington, Sep 22 (IANS) The US Park Police have said that a man had been charged for supposedly vandalizing the external base of the Washington Landmark with paint in the US capital.

Shaun Beam Deaton, 44, of Bloomington, Indiana, was captured on Tuesday night and accused of intruding, altering, and defacement, Xinhua news organization revealed.

There might be extra charges as the examination keeps, as per the police.

Public Park Administration (NPS) conservators are attempting to eliminate the paint.

“The top layer of paint is falling off,” the Public Shopping center and Remembrance Parks of the NPS tweeted on Wednesday. “The shade that saturated the stone will be treated with many rounds of cleaning item application.”

The Washington Landmark, a 555-foot marble monolith that pinnacles over Washington, D.C., at the Public Shopping center, was worked to respect George Washington, the main leader of the US.
