Since Forester in 1882, Tiz the Law is the first New York-bred horse to win the Belmont. Since 2013, Franco has been riding professionally.
He had won 1,357 of his 9,435 career starts as of June 2020 and finished in the money in 42 per cent of them. He was born on the island of Puerto Rico.
