Mary Boio Fowler, is an Australian professional football player, who plays for Manchester City in the English Women’s Super League and the Australia women’s national team, she was born on February 14, 2003.
She is primarily a forward but can also play in the midfielder. Fowler scored the winning goal against France in a pre-World Cup friendly after being chosen for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup team, in July 2023.
She was praised by Coach Alen Stajcic for her playing skills, she said in her words; “Fowler probably has the most weapons I’ve seen from a young player her age in women’s football.”
After being transferred for an undisclosed sum in January 2020, Fowler agreed to a three-year deal with Montpellier HSC of French Ligue 1.In February 2020, she faced Olympique Lyonnais in her debut.
Fowler joined the Australian team in 2018 for the Tournament of Nations. At the time of her late-game entrance versus Brazil, she was 15 years and 162 days old, making her the fifth-youngest member of the Matildas.
Later in the year, against England and France in friendlies, she was used as a substitute once more, but she was unable to play against Chile because she had appointments with Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester City first teams, all of which were interested in signing her. She also participated in sprint and power training sessions led by coach Mick Clegg in Manchester.
