Merritt Island Secondary School was put on an impermanent lockdown Thursday evening because of an undefined episode at a close by AT&T store, authorities said, according to Florida Today. No shooting was accounted for.

Merritt Island Secondary School was put on an impermanent lockdown Thursday evening because of an undefined episode at a close by AT&T store, authorities said, according to Florida Today. No shooting was accounted for.

The report added that at around 3:25 PM nearby time, there was an episode in the parking garage of the store at 1070 North Courtenay Turnpike. The AT&T is 0.2 miles from the school.

Merritt Island Secondary School Head James Rehmer sent an email to the guardians expressing that there was no occurrence nearby.

“I need to repeat the occurrence was separated and Didn’t include our everyday schedule,” he said.

School authorities and Brevard Province Sheriff’s Office put the school in lockdown until the area was gotten, Rehmer said.
