The mayor of a Georgia town has died in a motocross accident only months after being chosen.

Perry Ringer, who won the mayoral race for White, Georgia, in a special election this June, died while participating in the Lazy Stream Motocross occasion near Dalton, according to numerous outlets. He was 54. His cause of death is obtuse force trauma to the chest, Murray Region Appointee Coroner Jonathan Sosebee told The Daily Tribune News.

Sosebee added that the “unavoidable accident” happened after Ringer crashed.

“From what I understand, he was on a leap and then he crashed on top of a leap.

There was another rider right behind him and he was unable to do anything … he wasn’t able to see him to avoid it,” he continued.

Interim mayor Gary Crisp told WSB Radio, “They got a helicopter… Flew him to a trauma community however he didn’t make it. He passed away.

He added, “He was only a caring person for the local area and simply wanted to help individuals who lived here.”

The other rider experienced minor injuries and was released from the hospital after a couple of hours, NBC News reports.

No criminal charges have been documented, be that as it may, authorities are as yet investigating the crash, per the power source.

The Murray Region Coroner’s Office didn’t immediately respond to Individuals’ solicitation for input.

On social media, Ringer was praised as a “genuine companion and significantly more” by a companion who added photographs of them throughout the long term.

“Everyone is hit hard from it,” occupant Anthony Morris, who also worked in City Hall, told WSB. “He’s always got a grin on his face.”

Officials said it’s conceivable another special election will be held to determine Ringer’s replacement, per WSB.
