Foden joined the club when he was four years. In July 2016, Foden signed an Academy scholarship. Foden was educated at St. Bede’s College privately and Manchester City paid his tuition fees. Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola, selected Foden for the squad in a Champions League group stage game with Celtic on 6th December 2016. The match ended with a 1-1 draw which Foden was an unused substitute. From 2017 to date, Foden has scored 31 goals and played 111 games for Manchester City.
