A Texas lady was captured over the course of the end of the week for purportedly attempting to sell a vehicle she leased for $10,000.

The Unassuming Police Division posted the occurrence on Facebook, Sunday, saying an official was waved to by a resident who said he was attempting to buy a vehicle he tracked down on the web, yet trusted it to be taken.

The vehicle was a 2022 Toyota Camry, and the merchant, who police didn’t recognize by name, was endeavoring to sell the almost shiny new vehicle for about portion of its worth.

Police said the merchant consented to meet with the purchaser sometime in the future to finish the exchange and snap a photo of their Texas driver’s permit and title of the vehicle.

The purchaser told police he thought the permit looked off, and police said he was correct.

“After running the data from the permit, it was viewed that as nothing matched up,” police said.

Officials utilized the VIN from the phony vehicle title and reached the proprietor of the Camry, who said it was a rental and was not available to be purchased.

Teaming up with police, the purchaser consented to meet with the resident in the wake of choosing a cost of $10,000.

At the point when the two met, police captured and accused the lady of third-degree auto robbery and second-degree altering, the two crimes.

The Modest Police Office didn’t promptly answer inquiries regarding the occurrence.
