Timm van der Gugten, an Australian-Dutch cricketer who was born on February 25, 1991, made his debut for the Dutch national team in January 2012. He was born in Australia and has participated in domestic cricket for a number of Australian teams.
Van der Gugten, a Sydney native, made his New South Wales first-class debut in November 2011. For the 2011–12 Caribbean Twenty20, he was called up to the Dutch senior team early the following year.
At age 21, he then made his ODI and Twenty20 international debuts in March 2012. Van der Gugten, a right-arm pace bowler who made his international debut in 2013, has played regularly for the Netherlands and represented them at the 2014 World Twenty20.
He changed to Tasmania for the 2012–13 Australian season, and he has also played for two Twenty20 teams, the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League of Australia and the Northern Knights in the Georgie Pie Super Smash of New Zealand.
