Lucknow, Oct three (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh government has determined to develop sun rooftop tasks on government and semi-government buildings and places of work within the nation as part of its new renewable energy initiative.

The department of New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (NEDA), the nodal body, has already invited on line bids from prospective bidders for designing, production, deliver, erecting, trying out, and commissioning of 25-2,000 kw grid-linked sun PV initiatives on government homes and places of work.

The selected contractors may also be chargeable for maintaining and running the rooftop solar tasks for 25 years.

According to the government spokesman, “NEDA has additionally invited a pre-bid convention on October 10 to take note of hints that the possible bidders may also need to make.”

The rooftop structures can be implemented as consistent with the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Authority (UPERC) RSPV Regulations, 2019, and its amendments.

A rooftop solar PV essentially refers back to the grid-interactive solar photovoltaic electricity gadget established at the rooftops of customer premises that uses daylight for direct conversion into power thru image-voltaic technology.

The assignment is proposed to be finished below the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model on a internet-billing/net-metering foundation.

Under the RESCO version, bidders intend to take a rooftop owned via some other entity on mutually agreed terms and situations, which includes a lease agreement, from the rooftop owner(s) and enter into the PPA with the rooftop proprietor for the supply of solar energy for 25 years. As in line with such agreements, the rooftop owners do now not should make any prematurely fee.

“The scheme objectives to lessen fossil fuel-based strength and thereby, the carbon footprint. This scheme, with an mixture capability of fifty MW at some stage in the nation, envisages installation of grid-related rooftop solar PV tasks,” the spokesman said.
