Davis, Tennon and their 12-year-old girl Beginning had resided in their California house for quite some time, when the couple chose to call upon creator Michaela Cadiz to assist with changing their space into a customized escape.

“In our space, we need to feel like we’re associated with our legacy,” Tennon says of the works they decided to incorporate. “The pieces all by themselves recount to a story, similar to the Native speck workmanship and the African-American craftsmanship, which especially is established in the African-American folktale that our kin can fly,” Davis makes sense of.

The kitchen is where the “sorcery” occurs, the entertainer says. It includes a huge focus island and two enormous globe pendants. The couple appreciate facilitating Thanksgiving, their number one occasion, at their home, which generally spins around the cookspace. One year, visitors even had a dance party in the space as Tennon impacted his main tunes.

“We are the tomfoolery, and this kitchen is fun when great food is preparing in here,” he says.
