Domann went to Colorado Springs Pine Creek High School in Colorado. He played both safety and wide receiver in high school. As a senior, Jojo Domann won the Gatorade Football Player of the Year title for Colorado in 2015. He made a commitment to the University of Nebraska in order to play college football.
Domann represented Nebraska as a player from 2016 to 2021. He not only played safety but linebacker as well. His career totals included 208 total tackles (solo and assisted), 5.5 sacks, and three interceptions.
After the NCAA adopted the Name, Image, and Likeness policy on June 30, 2021, Domann moved swiftly to host the first young Husker football camp.
