質問 私たちは聖霊を礼拝するべき？ 答え 神のみが礼拝されるべき方である事を私たちは知っています。神のみが礼拝される事を望まれ、神のみが礼拝されるに値する方なのです。ですから私たちが聖霊を礼拝するべきかどうかという質問は聖霊が神であるかどうかを知る事によって答える事ができるでしょう。様々なカルトや異端の教えとは違って、聖霊はなんらかの力やフォースではなく、人格なのです。聖霊はただの物として呼ばれてはいませんし(ヨハネ15:26; 16:7-8, 13-14)、聖霊は人格をもった方として行動されています。聖霊は語り(Iテモテ4:1)、愛し(ローマ15:30)、教え(ヨハネ14:26)とりなし(ローマ8:26)、他にも様々な行動をされています。 聖霊は神性を持っておられ、人間でも天使でもありません。聖霊は永遠であり(へブル9:14)、どこにでも臨在しておられ(詩篇139:7-10)、すべてを知っておられ(Iコリント2:10-11)、使徒達にすべてを教え(ヨハネ14:26)、天地創造をし(創世記1:2)、御父と御子と親密な関係を持っておられます(マタイ28:19; ヨハネ14:16)。聖霊は人格を持っておられるので聖霊に対して人々が嘘をつく事もあり(使徒5:3-4)、聖霊は悲しむ事もあります(エペソ4:30)。更に旧約聖書の箇所で神について書いてあるその性質が新約聖書で聖霊についての性質として書かれている物も多数あります(イザヤ6:8と使徒28:25, 出エジプト16:7とへブル3:7-9)。 神性をもっておられる方は礼拝されるべきです。神は礼拝されるべき方だからです(詩篇18:3)。神は「大いなる方。大いにほめたたえられるべき方」(詩篇48:1)です。私たちは神を礼拝するようにと命じられています(マタイ4:10; 黙示録19:10; 22:9)。ですから聖霊が神であり、三位一体の第三人格であるなら聖霊は礼拝されるべきなのです。ピリピ3:3には真に心に割礼を受けている者達は神の御霊によって礼拝をし、キリスト・イエスを誇り、人間的なものを頼みにしないと書いてあります。ここにも三位一体の全人格をを礼拝する様子が描かれています。 ではどのように聖霊を礼拝する事ができるでしょうか？それは父なる神と御子を礼拝するのと同じように礼拝すればいいのです。キリスト者の礼拝は霊的なもので、内に住んでおられる聖霊の働きかけを通して神にすべてを捧げるという物です(ローマ12:1)。私たちは聖霊の命令に従順になる事で礼拝するのです。使徒ヨハネはキリストを指して「神の命令を守る者は神のうちにおり、神もまたその人のうちにおられます。神が私たちのうちにおられるということは、神が私たちに与えてくださった御霊によって知るのです。」(Iヨハネ3:24)と書いています。ここでキリストに従う事と、私たちの内に住み、罪を認めさせ、礼拝する事の必要性を示し、礼拝する力を与えて下さる御霊に従う事の関係性が明確にされています。 礼拝そのものは聖霊から来ています。イエスは私達が「霊とまことをもって礼拝する」(ヨハネ4:24)と言われました。霊的な者は聖霊が内に住み、私達が神に属する事を示す者です(ローマ8:16)。聖霊が私達の内に臨在しておられるからこそ私達は聖霊を、霊をもって礼拝する事ができるのです。キリストが御父の内におられ、御父が聖霊を通して私達の内におられるように、私達は神の内にとどまっていて、神が私達の内にとどまって下さるのです(ヨハネ14:20, 17:21)。 [English] [日本語のホームページに戻る] 私たちは聖霊を礼拝するべき？
