Because Fenerbahçe supporters believe that Ješić was to blame for Ridvan Dilmen’s injury in a 1990 league match between Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor, Ješić was greatly resented by those fans. Despite undergoing sixteen operations, Ridvan never fully recovered and had to retire from football in 1995 at Fenerbahce after suffering from painful injuries for years.

During his time in Turkish Süper Lig, Jei also made a record number of reservations. He was dubbed “Kasap Yeşiç,” which translates to “Ješić the Butcher,” by his adversaries, who also claimed that he had injured numerous players in Turkey.
