Baba Alaran was a member of the Fadeyi Caucus of Movie Producers with the likes of Pa Kasumu, Adewale Elesho, Jide Kosoko, Otolo, etc. the late veteran actor married one wife and the marriage produced four children.
Who is Alaran?
Baba Alaran was an indigene of Oyo town in Oyo state. His sudden demise on October 18, 2006, was a painful one for Yoruba Nollywood. He died at the age of 46.
Baba Alaran was known for his hilarious way of acting in contradiction i.e. not a very sensible character in most of his movies. His movie scenes were comic relief.
He joined the acting career by accident. Baba Alaran was a driver to the Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group where he was given an opportunity to act as a result of another actor’s failure to show up at a movie location.
