Arya Singh individual has been taken into custody in connection with the drowning death of an infant that occurred more than four years ago in a Florida inlet.
Arya Singh, 29, is facing a charge of first-degree murder after a detective with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office claimed she admitted to throwing Baby June into the Boynton Beach Inlet. The woman from Boynton Beach was processed upon her arrival at the jail on Thursday morning. According to WPBF, she will have her first appearance in court on Friday, during which she will be questioned by a judge.
It is unknown whether Singh has a lawyer who can speak on her behalf or not at this time. On Thursday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference that was streamed live on Facebook. During the conference, they made the announcement.
The baby’s DNA was able to be linked with a relative, which allowed Detective Brittany Christoffel of Palm Beach County to piece together the investigation. “She’s the mother, and she is solely responsible,” said Christoffel, who was able to piece together the case.
