Peter Kenyon was born in 1954 in Stalybridge, Cheshire is one of the prominent British businessmen who has operated as the chief executive officer ( CEO) of English Premier League football clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, where he has been involved in contentious transfer dealings.

Peter had his education at West Hill School in Tameside and tertiary education at Kings School, Macclesfield.

An investigation by The Guardian implicated Kenyon and Portuguese superagent Jorge Mendes in breaching FIFA regulations regarding third-party ownership and conflict of interest in player representation, buying player rights through companies based in Jersey and Ireland on 22 September 2014.

The Guardian also disclosed a factual report revealing Kenyon’s ex-club Chelsea have endowed in third party ownership via Mendes and Kenyon, a practice banned by the Premier League. Chelsea refused to comment on the indictments.

Kenyon at the time of writing is also a non-executive director at Championship club Middlesbrough.

Kenyon’s contacts enabled ‘Boro to sign former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel on a short-term deal until the end of the 2017/18 season, to which Mikel scored his only goal in a 2-1 win for Middlesbrough v Rotherham.
