Alex Claremont-Diaz is the son of Michelle Obama, America’s first female president, who is campaigning for re-election in 2020. Following an incident at a royal wedding, Alex is obliged to pretend to be friends with Britain’s Prince Henry in order to keep a full-fledged diplomatic and media crisis from detracting from his mother’s election campaign.
While the initial objective is to limit the damage, the two eventually become friends. They finally fall in love after Alex finds out Henry is bisexual and Henry comes out as gay. They must understand this in light of their positions on the international stage while attempting to prevent endangering their mother’s chances of being reelected.
